Christmas Gifting Started

Sincerely trying to beat the last minute rush this year as I will be making almost all our gifts again this year.  Plus I'm going to be working again.  I am going back to Kroger after leaving 20+ yrs ago.
Still praying for the shop to sell.  Which brings me back to Christmas sewing.  I love these little bears
they are so easy to sew once you get hang of getting the head on.

I'm trying and keep posts shorter and more regular.  At least until I establish a new habit,
and that includes sewing more with disciplined timing.

What do these look like to you?

They look like pancakes to me.

We have never had this type of mushroom before.  They are all over
the yard.  Anyone know what kind they are?  Be nice if they were eatable.

Looks like I'm gonna have to ask Santa for a camera this Christmas.
This one appears to be on its last leg.
Have a great and safe week-end

One Monthly Goal

I'm having trouble staying focused on an embroidered piece that needs finished  and then bordered with a quilted finish before framing.  I want to give this as a Christmas gift.  I joining this month's One Monthly Goal at +Red Letter Quilts to be held accountable to finish this project so I can frame it.  The badge is on my sidebar if you would like to see what this group is about and maybe join up.  They have finished some beautiful work.
So without further ado this is my started (JULY) and then forgotten project.

I pulled this frame to use because of size so I would have room for enough quilt to show.  This is the size I'll use but maybe a little less ornate.  I'll have to wait until piece is done to tell.  I'll probably as for your opinon on that then.

So saying that, this month's the goal is to embroider and piece.

Hugs and blessings to all.

An apology and a 2017 Stitch Along

Some of you may have noticed I haven't been blogging or visiting for awhile.  As in like a lot of your lives things have just gotten out of whack.  I'm in the job search mode now and waiting to hear from one interview by Fri. or Sat. (so they said).  Too much to share at one time so I'll catch you up a little at a time.

I owe MA. from http://magpiesmumblings.blogspot.com/ a huge apology.   She has some beautiful Crazy Quilting to share if you would like to visit.  I'm so sorry this is so late in coming.  She sent me a beautiful hand sewn postcard a couple of months ago and I never showed how much I appreciated it by sharing it.  It came when my struggles were at the highest and I needed the kindness of just being thought of.  It stay on my shelf above my bed to remind me the someone cares and thinks of you even when you don't realize it.  My pleasant surprise arrived prettily wrapped.

Isn't her handwork pretty.

A great big THANK YOU.

Now I would like to share a stitch along for 2017.
