How Much!

Our family had a great Christmas with almost everyone present.  No drama and all safe and healthy. I was glad to see most of you were blessed with the same.
They were a hungry crew and I had to replenish the cupboard yesterday.  Stopped by the fabric shop on the way to the grocery (actually never got there) just to browse a little and found Christmas fabric at 90% off.  My son made the mistake of giving me cash to have my car detailed.  Now I have to save up and get it done before he finds out where I spent it.  Anyway back to where I was going with this, just look at what I found.  While visions of mug rugs and stockings danced thru my head. 8-)

Isn't this cowboy the cutest fabric?  I was thinking of Karin at Lovin life at the end of a dirt road. If you like ranch life as it really is, with beautiful pictures visit her at dirtroadscrapper.blogspot.com.

And I saved how Much?  Yep, that's right $159.28
Now when I shared with is Donnie, even he was impressed.  He gave me $50.00 to go back with. Now I'm thinking his plan is that this will keep me busy enough that I won't be going back for awhile. Yeah right.  I bought a couple of the same fabrics I like them that much.

Going to use the sleigh fabric for a quilt backing and the two blues will be a dress and leggings for a tilda doll.
CHA-CHING
An additional $101.17 I'm feeling so good right now.  Wanting to start sewing right-a-way.  But it will have to wait a couple of days. That will be a post for New Year's day.

Be safe and have a Great New Year!
Blessings

  2. Good morning, Tonia. It's been a while. I'm still here. Glad to hear you had a good Christmas. Same here, had family come in from out of town and everyone safe. Hubby finished up his treatments for 6 months. Looking forward to a blessed New Year and blessings to you and your family for a great New Year. You go girl on the fabric, lol . I was just in my fabric buckets last night ( notice I said buckets ) and looking thru I decided I needed to make a trip to Joann's. lol. Have a blessed week and come visit, and oh by the way I'm having a Give-A-Way for the start of the New Year 2016 . Hope you will sign up. God Bless.

  6. Congratulations on the excellent savings. I recently saw a blog post about how to build up a savings account. The author suggested taking the AMOUNT SAVED and adding it to a savings account. Since I just purchased some bright red yarn for half price at our one and only yarn shop, I have $15 to transfer to a savings account. I seldom purchase holiday fabrics but I'm going to keep my eye out for some Star Wars fabric and maybe a fabric with the Rolling Stones. Two of my adult sons like these. I think I might have seen Star Wars type fabric but not Rolling Stones. I'm thinking of making quilts for each of them for Christmas next year. I figure I can make 2 quilts in a year and even get them quilted by a professional.

  7. What a haul, way to go my friend. Across the Pond the Christmas fabrics are rarely on sale in the shops. They just sit there until next year. My local fabric shop has a whole wall devoted to them.
Wishing you and the family a very Happy New Year.

  10. Loving that fabric with the ice skates on. Thanks for sending that blog my way.......I signed on to get it all the time....90% off is a fantastic but. The most I have seen is 50% at a local quilt store in my area.

  12. Thanks for stopping by my blog! I've never seen a quilted Fish City but I'm sure it would be amazing! It is actually based off of artwork by Stewart Moskowitz and I believe prints are still available if you'd like one. I'm afraid my stitched piece probably won't be done for quite some time with all the littles around but I do hope you stop back to watch the progress:)

I'm jealous of your fabric haul, can't wait to see what you make with it!

  13. I had to laugh that you didn't make it to the grocery store!
I'm not much of a sew-er but am going to try to do more in 2016. Been saving pieces of fabric for a while, and I need to either do something with it or reclaim the drawer space. First step is cleaning my little Featherweight. Wish me luck!

  14. My goodness! You certainly DID hit the fabric jackpot! It made me laugh that you used your car detailing money for it and then he gave you more. I would have done the same thing. Those prices are too good to pass up and every one of those cuts are wonderful! And yes, I love the boots! Looking forward to all of your projects!
