Third Time's A Charm

It seems everytime it think I'm able to get back to my blogging something says "I don't think so".  Well hopefully this time's the charm. I have been fighting the WiFi connection on the farm for six months.  And this time for over 3 weeks was unable to get online at all.  After three tech.s coming out and returning 2 parts that did not work, the third one knew what he was talking about.  So three seem to be the lucky number.  I guess a good thing about it is that I have a few new projects I can
share with you.  I have started taking a Crazy Quilting Class with http://www.shawkl.com/.
She gives us tasks to complete each step. So to be clear to those that have never sewn this style or embroidered before.   There is actually more to  it that I thought from the very beginning because of the placement of the enhancements and seams.  I find it interesting. A lot of it so far has been reading and picking out colors and supplies.  As we have to send her our progress per her instructions and our completion I'll share with  you.  It might be something your interested for yourself.

I only used four colors, got rid of the brown.

My placement of colors on block

Our last task was picking our enhancement ribbons and thread.

I'm really anxious to get started actually sewing.
Have a great week and see you soon.

  2. So happy to see your wifi is working now. Technology is wonderful but can be frustrating, too.

I've never tried crazy quilting but I have seen some interesting projects on other blogs. Good luck with your class. You'll have to let us know how you like it.

  3. Computer problems are so frustrating. I'm glad the third guy figured it out. I'm also impressed that you were able to find someone who would come to you. I always have to take my computer to them.

  4. I love Crazy patchwork - I used to do a lot of it once but seem to have been busy with too many other things - think I might have to set up a piece to go to when I feel the urge!! Love all of your embellishments!!

  9. Hi Tonia! So glad to meet you! Thank you for the visit and sweet comment at The Dedicated House. It means the world! I think you have a lovely blog and it would work well for advertising. It loads quickly, which is important! The only thing I would suggest right now is to decrease your side margins so that your center (where your post is) and your side bar have more space. The sidebar space is usually the spot where most ads go. When you are signing up for ad networks, don't get discouraged if they don't accept you right off the bat. It took a couple of tries for me to get approval. Once you have a good posting schedule and good social media presence your following will grow. Put your patience to work. It might not grow overnight, but it will grow. Feel free to use the links I provided in my post if you are ready to jump in the advertising pool. Don't be afraid to ask questions. I knew nothing about this when I started, and I still have so much to learn! You can do this!! The income I make from blogging is not our sole income. I use the income I make to buy home decor stuff, camera equipment, vacations and Christmas. It has really been a blessing. Email me if you have any other questions! Toodles, Kathryn @TheDedicatedHouse
