July's One Monthly Goal

Gonna try and get better organized now that thingz are getting better.  You know how stuff just happens, Health is getting better and so is marriage slowly but surely but that is okay.
Almost done organizing fabric, so now I'm hoping to open my ESTY shop by the first of September.
And that bringz me to my  "main" one monthly goal.

I'm going to quilt and bind this Linus quilt, now notice Maggie is asleep in the upper left corner.

Turned my back and  BAM there she is.  Now could you yell at that pitiful thing?
I'll just have to throw it in the wash before I turn it in.  Which bringe me to question, how many of you prefer the washed look to their quilts when posting or selling?

I'm sneaking  a second one in too.  I need to design, cut and piece a baby quilt from this fabric

It will be simple, I Don't do complicated yet.  Check out that grammar, sounds like I'm from the sticks.  Well I am, you know everyone from Kentucky goes barefoot right?
Have a great week and be safe..

Hugs and Blessings

  5. Oh my goodness! Your baby is just too adorable! I couldn't be cross with a face like that! I like the washed look myself.
I look forward to seeing your Etsy shop. I closed mine awhile back when I got my cancer diagnosis. I was afraid someone might order, and I'd be feeling poorly and miss mailing the package in the right timing. If I feel better as things go on, I may work on items to reopen. Then again, I may just let it ride for awhile.

    Be blessed!

  6. Nice quilt and I really like the fabrics for the baby quilt. Cute kitty. My dogs lay on their bed and by the door when I am in my "room". Good luck wishes for you Etsy shop. I like Etsy the way it used to be. I don't go there so much anymore but that's probably because I don't BUY too much anymore. It seems like it used to be easier to find hand crafted items there before. I probably just don't adjust well to changes.

  7. I'm in love with Maggie! And I love the fabric for your baby quilt-to-be. Someone is going to be very lucky to get that quilt. As for washing my quilts, I love the washed/crinkly look! When I gift a quilt, unless it's intended as a wall hanging, I do wash it first. I don't want the recipient to think they did something wrong when it comes out looking so different than before it was washed.
