What a friend and Jesus did for me today

This is how it went:

It was good to hear from you, thanks for commenting. I get frustrated sometimes when only a few comment.

I  had 54 visitors yesterday and only 5  took the time to comment.  A good thing about that this time, is
that I believe all 5  actually read the post.  But the BEST thing is that God gave me an attitude adjustment this
morning about why I blog.

Now I do want to learn and see new and interesting things that others do and or make, since I don't get out much.
But more than that I want to help others, maybe give them insight  or some thought that they are being listened
to and prayed for or admired. That they have inspired someone else or made them smile.

There are a lot of people in the blogging world that we are their ONLY neighbor, family or friend.  Not everyone
is blessed with those.  I'm guessing about fifteen or twenty of my followers are the kind of people  who
inspire me to do better and I call a friend.  I don't do that lightly.  That is not a bad thing, I'm just saying a lot of good people are just too busy to be a friend, not even realizing it.

I ask God to help me love others as Jesus does.  And he is.  It seems to be an ongoing thing.  It is not easy and by this I mean I have become more aware of others pain, and how many emotions can come frorn pain of different sorts.  I hurt for them.  A lot of you are my sisters in Christ, I cry with you, laugh, and pray with you. Those that aren't I cry and pray for you.  I can't imagine my life without Jesus who loved me first, my Savior, Healer and Counselor.

Laura,  I'm so happy to have you for a sister and friend.  Did you think God would use you today with your comment?  I certainly did not know my response to you would go this way , but I'm thankful that it did..

My frustration is gone and I'm smiling with my attitude adjustment in place.  I'm posting this because maybe someone else can smile because of you.

Ladies, please know if I visit with you, I will leave a comment.  It won't be elegant or frilly, but it will be the truth from my heart.  Mom always said:  If you can't say something good, then just don't say it.  We may have to look for it sometimes, but it is there.
Be Safe
Hugs and Blessing

  3. What a beautiful post Tonia! I was very blessed by reading it. I have been going through some difficult times lately because of my health so this means a lot to me. I am your sister in Christ and without him, there are times when it would be so hard to make it through the day. Thank you and please remember me in your prayers.

  5. Blogging is a lovely thing filled with ladies (and men) from all over the globe who I believe bless others in one way or another. Why do I comment on others' blogs?? Mainly because I want to encourage them and let them know that I have read their post and have enjoyed what they have to say or indeed loved what they have lovingly created. I comment regardless of whether they reciprocate, or indeed visit my 'place'. As a gal whom loves Jesus, I consider it a delight to offer a little encouragement each time. I guess people are not always able to visit and comment, for whatever reason. We do not know if somehow we have put a smile in someone's day. For me, I love to blog. I love to share my thoughts and the pretties I fashion each time. I love to think I have put a smile in others' days. Also, I love to write. A thought provoking post, Tonia. I believe the blogging community is a generous one. May you have a lovely day.

  6. 5 out of 54 is actually terrific for a blog. 10% of visitors commented. My most popular post has over 10,000 views with only 23 comments. I think your blog (and you) has a small following but they are really passionate and that is something to dance about.
Thank you for visiting my blog Sew Preeti Quilts and your kind comment made my day.

  7. Good Morning. I caught up on my blog read this morning and am happy that I left a comment on your last post. I think I always read your posts and comment. I call us blog friends. I understand your faith and the strength you get from it. I don't often comment publicly about my own beliefs. A part of me worries that I might lose friends who do not believe what I believe. I totally agree what you have said about blog friends sometimes being one's only contact with people. It is my only contact with others that enjoy some of the same things I enjoy.

An attitude adjustment? Well, we all need one once in awhile along with encouragement and approval. We sometimes get that from our blog friends.

Best wishes that you have a peaceful and harmonious day.
    xx, Carol

  8. What a nice post. This is my first vist, and you have a lovely blog. Don't look at the stats to see how many visits you've had, just be happy for the ones who comment. I read a lot of 'big' blogs, but don't bother to comment because I doubt they're read and certainly not responded to. And it's easier to form relationships/friendships with a smaller crowd!

  9. I also have problems keeping up with my blogging and reading of blogs. Sometimes it amazes me that I still have a few followers that try to encourage my sewing and me. Over the years many have been prayer warriors for me and me for them. Many have drifted away, some have passed, and some of us still correspond. I have to remind myself some are just here for a season. Jesus has used many to keep me going for sure....grin. Have a great day!

  10. I don't know how many people actually read my blog on a regular basis, but I have (supposedly) 215 followers. Out of that number only a very small nucleus who ever comment and (bless them) it's always the same people. Those people I consider to be my friends and the rest I think are just curious. I try very hard to leave a comment on blogs when I have the time but sometimes I get behind and simply have to jump back in wherever I'm at (but I'm sure to let them know that's what happened so they don't think I've given up on them). There are two or three blogs that I follow but I have never commented and I do feel badly about it, but their work is beyond intimidating and I'm afraid to say anything. I know I should make myself known or simply stop following....if I was doing what is right! The most difficult thing for me is to respond to those who do leave a comment but are set up as 'no reply' bloggers...I know some people respond to comments directly on the comment itself, but how many people actually go back to check to see if there is a response. I do for a couple that I know don't respond any other way but the rest fall by the wayside. Well done post!!

  11. I admit I don't always comment on the many blogs I follow and read. Life has been less than normal lately and my time is limited due to family issues. Things seem to be getting back to normal but my energy level hasn't. Reading blogs has helped me stay in touch with what all my favorite people are doing. Thanks for inspiring me with your blog posts and the reminder about how encouraging blog comments can be.
